Description : It is acrid, antibilious, antiseptic, antispasmodic, astringent, bitter, diuretic, expectorant, febrifuge and tonic. It also has anticancer, antimicrobial and antiviral properties. Useful in fever, cough, bronchial asthma, pleurisy, thirst, common cold and liver disorders. Used as a prophylactic against smallpox in children.
